Everyone must have been very excited about the coming commencement this weekend. As you know, the university prepared a lot to deliver and create a remarkable and memorable experience for everyone.
However, a fire broke out (reasons are still unknown as of this writing) at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center two days ago, where the event would originally take place. For this reason, I regret to inform you that the APUS commencement this weekend has been cancelled.
I apologize for this unfortunate news and for any inconveniences that it may has caused you but rest assured that the anticipated event will transpire as soon as possible. Another email will be sent within this week to inform you about the details regarding the rescheduling of the commencement.
For the information of graduating students, your conferral dates will not be affected by this cancellation. We will also still be selecting one graduate and one undergraduate to win a trip to commencement and wear action cameras for those all across the world can witness the full excitement of the commencement.
