Please fill out this form completely! I have provided up to three places for your ideas of a new innovation for your final project. It is best that you come up with more than one new idea in case the first one is rejected. But at this point only one is required, but three would be better! And remember, the key is to answer all the questions below. Feedback will be given via email.

Idea Submission #1

Question 1: What is your idea for a new innovation? (NOTE: as a reminder it cannot be an APP). Use the space below to answer this question.

My innovation will be a machine that makes water. I'm not sure what to call it but I want it compact in size, user friendly and a go to in the event of a natural disaster where wate ros scarce.

Question 2: Is this a new service innovation or a new product innovation?

This will be a product innovation that every member of the family could operate if need be. Well maybe not a small toddler but I'm hoping you get the idea. An affordable product that won't generate tons of water, maybe two or three gallons but in a situation it can be a life saver.

Question 3: In a few short sentences, describe this new innovation as clearly as you can. If it is a new product, you may be requested to draw a figure or a diagram.

It would be square or cylinder shaped and sit upright. There should be a power button and a few additional buttons like a light that comes on when a filter needs to be changed, when a container is filled with water and ready to empty into your container of choice, and or a red light if something is wrong. It should come with a user manual and registration number and have a two year warranty. The system should be able to produce two or three gallons of water each cycle and also come with instructions on how to store the water once it is produced by the machine. The machine will be powered by options of battery, power cable, or solar.

Question 4: Briefly describe how your innovation will benefit humankind, or what is the value of your innovation?

We witnessed here in Texas that when the power grid went out it prevented the water system we have from cleaning and redistributing water. Thai can cause serious problems. The average family can't afford to spend many thousands of dollars on some of the systems that are out on the market. This system is affordable. I want the water to come from the air but not like waste from ana/c. More like pulling the moisture out of the air to make drinkable water. Thai will not only benefit Texas but humankind all over the world. This can also be used in countries where water supply is so polluted that it causes sickness. Drinkable water in countries that can use the solar powered option possibly.

Question 5: What have you done (research, Google, etc.) to see if that product or service is a new one (you cannot steal someone else's idea or innovation) - THIS IS IMPORTANT!

There are no small versions of this type of innovation. There are commercial grade systems that have even been sold to the military but no version of this exists for the average middle class family.

Question 6: Have you thought about how you would build a prototype for a product, or, write a lengthy annotated business plan (and what do you think would be the most important parts of the business plan for a service)?

I think for funding reasons I would be forced to write a business plan. Most of the time, I believe business plans are useless but can create a stepping stone in writing of how you want to bring your goal to light. I don't know anything about a business plan for an innovation such as this one nor would I know about how to engineer something like this for a prototype. I'd have to create a fusing site for investors and hore a engineer to help me. I'm a visualist. I'd like to build what I believe is a roundabout version, then contract engineers to bring my idea to reality. I would then start presenting the innovation to technology and water summits as an introduction to my innovation and pray some investor would pick it up. I wouldn't mind a good ole shark tank appearance as well.
